The Gate was launched by Pastor Aaron Hannemann as a church plant in the Fall of 2016. If you want to know more about church planting, check out this article: http://www.acts29.com/why-church-planting/
The Gate’s name comes from John 10:9 where Jesus says, “I am the gate, whoever enters through me will be saved.” It’s only through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection that all of humanity and creation has been reconciled to God. It’s only through Jesus that we receive abundant life, as he says in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly,” and also eternal life in the age to come.
We exist as the Church, the body of Christ here on earth, and as the community of the Gate so that we may worship our God, who has revealed himself in His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we may connect with one another, to strengthen and encourage each other in our faith walk with Jesus, to serve others around us, as our Lord has first served us.
